One who is perceived as being rough around the edges, implying that a person is uncouth or uneducated 

Example

The bloke on the train…

Puke 

Vomit ; anyone or anything regarded as disgusting or contemptible

Examples 

Frankly, it’s enough to make me puke.

Leave this puke alone. 

Not bat an eyelid

To show no sign of surprise or worry

Example 

He will not bat an eyelid and will continue to destroy this land to an end.

Gratin 

An arrogant and shameless person 

Example

This gratin should not be leading the company. Time for a change. 

Carrot on the stick 

Using a reward or incentive to motivate someone

Examples 

The boss offered a 10% bonus as a carrot on a stick to whomever sold the most units by the end of the month.

Even more carrot on the stick for these people to come here!!!

Off one’s rocker

Mentally unsound; extremely foolish

Examples 

I’m going to go off my rocker if I have to hear that song one more time! 

…this dude is so far off his rocker that I truly believe he has a jar of jam in lieu of a brain! 

Dumb down

To lower the level of difficulty and the intellectual content of (something, such as a textbook); To make something easier for people to understand, especially when this spoils it 

Examples

No one favored dumbing down the magazine.
